IT University is a joint organization between Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg, to support research, education and collaboration within IT and communication (ICT).
The focus of the network is on interdisciplinary projects and tasks, that involve several departments and faculties. There is also a focus on collaboration between academy, industry and society in ICT-related issues.
[9 Apr 2012] For pacemakers and other implantable medical devices there are three key factors: extreme reliability, small size, and long longevity. In the EU project DeSyRe (on-Demand System Reliability), led by assistant professor Ioannis Lourdis at Chalmers, researchers tackle these issues with a new approach: building a reliable system on unreliable components.
[6 Apr 2012] iChalmers was created for both students and employees at Chalmers. Features such as maps of the Chalmers area and contact directories are useful also for short term visitors. The app originates in a successful bachelor thesis project developed at the Department of Signals and Systems.
[3 Apr 2012] About 120 interaction design students gathered in Gothenburg for two days meet with colleagues from other universities, share their work and views on interaction design and build a valuable network for the future.
